Remember these as you pray this week:

Healing, Encouragement and God’s peace

We express our sympathy to Ruth Lutke and family in the passing of Ruth’s sister-in-law, Ruth Schepers.  May God comfort in this time of grief.

We express our sympathy to Tina Rozeveld, her family and relatives of her brother Todd Munn as he passed away last Sunday. Pray for God’s comfort and peace.

Continue prayers for healing for Jesús, Jamie Lutke, and Zach Pluger.

Continue to pray for Terry and Sandy Huttenga and their family as Terry struggles with his health concerns.  Pray for strength, grace and God’s peace and love to surround them.

Pray for Hilda Dìaz and her family as she undergoes cancer treatment.

Pray for all others who are also undergoing treatment for cancer.

All those who have recently had surgeries and other health challenges.

Other Ongoing Prayers: 

Pray for the plans that are being made for a summer service project at Faith in Christ Fellowship in Marquette for our VIBE students, Integrate students and adults.

Pray for God’s blessing on the fund-raising drive for the building project.

Pray for God’s mercy and peace in the lives of our shut-ins and senior saints and all who are limited in their daily activities due to age or illness.

Remember all those who are mourning the loss of loved ones recently or during the past months.

Pray for Jessica Campbell as she continues to serve in the military.

Praising and thanking God:

Thank God for his gifts of healing, comfort and strength for all those who have been ill, undergoing health challenges and other challenges in daily living.

Praise God that Jesús has returned home and is doing better.

National Day of Prayer

On Thursday, May 2, Calvin Church will host a drive thru prayer experience.  Just drive in and a team of people will pray with you at your car.  Prayer times will be over the noon hour from 11:30am-1:30pm and then for 4:30-5:30pm.  Additionally there will be a community prayer service at 7pm at Calvin to pray for our community and nation.

Family Faith Formation Tip.

Family Faith Formation Tip - “As God’s family we need to pause at important moments to acknowledge God’s presence and faithfulness and celebrate as a community how God is at work. One of the ways to do that is by marking the faith milestones in our lives”.  What milestones are coming up for your family, and how could you celebrate them in ways that recognize God’s goodness?

VC Booster Club

Focus on Life Banquet

You are cordially invited to attend our "Focus on Life" benefit dinner on Monday, April 29, 6pm at the Cherry Grove Convention Center, 5676 E M-55, Cadillac. Social hour starts at 5:30 pm.  Our speaker will be Kenny Bigger, a native of Cadillac. AMEN Chorus Concert

The AMEN Chorus will be presenting a concert Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Rehoboth Reformed Church in Lucas.  We have put together a special program to honor our veterans and those currently serving in our military.  We would love to have you join us and if you are a veteran or current military member we invite you to wear your uniform or a hat with your division on it.  A free will offering will be received for various non-profit organizations in our community.

Friday, May 3, 5:30—8:30pm & Saturday, May 4, 9:am—Noon: Community Hope and Friends Ministry want low and moderate income Missaukee County residents to know that buying and owning a home IS possible. Attend these classes to learn how to become eligible to purchase the new home being built on Russell Street in Lake City. Attendees will hear from professionals how to qualify for a home loan on the right-priced home for their budget. This is NOT a sales seminar! Applications for the Russell Street house will be available to class participants following completion of both sessions. The class will be held on the campus of Lake City CRC in The Rock. Hughston’s Cow Camp S.P.U.R.S. Event

S.P.U.R.S. (Special People Understanding Rodeo Skills) for people of all ages – FREE Event/Rain or Shine on May 4th from 12:30-3:00PM  A light lunch including hotdogs provided at 12:30, followed by events of your choosing: horseback riding, wagon trail ride, mock steer roping, pole bending, mock bronc riding, photo station.  Prizes for all who participate!  *Participants must be accompanied by an attendant*  Any questions, contact Brenda @ 231-920-9391.

Tie That Binds Quilt Show

The annual Tie That Binds Quilt Show will be held on May 10 & 11 at The Rock at the Lake City CRC (Note change of location).  Sign-up sheets for donations/help are on the foyer table. There is still room for more entries to showcase the art and beauty of quilting.  Contact Amy Rice for more information.  Proceeds for VC Booster Club supporting Christian Education.

Stride for the Prize – 5K Run/Walk

Prosper Booster Club will be holding their annual 5K Run/Walk.  This timed race through Falmouth and it scenic countryside will be Saturday, May 25 at 9:00 am.  You may preregister on line at https://StrideForThePrize5K.itsyourrace.com or print a paper copy.  Preregister before May 7 for $25.00. and receive a Free t-shirt. All other entries are $30.00. SpringHill Day Camp

June 24-28, 9am-4pm: Lake City CRC is partnering with SpringHill Camp to host a Summer Day Camp for 1st - 5th graders. SpringHill Day Camp might be the summer’s best week ever! In this high energy, fun, activity packed week, campers will experience adventure and challenge but also be given time to hear, understand, and respond to the gospel message. Registration is going on now! Go to springhilldaycamps.com to register. Cost: $199 (until May 1). SpringHill Day Camp will be held on the campus of LCCRC. Prosper CRC Event

ATV/UTV (or whatever you like to drive trail ride) is going to be on June 29 starting at Prosper Church at 3pm and ending at the Falmouth Dam with a bonfire (hotdogs and marshmallows provided to roast) at about 6pm.  Registration of $25 includes one T-shirt. Additional shirts available at event. Proceeds are to help fund Prosper's 125th Celebration Activities. 

Ladies’ Night Out Thank You

No words can express the thanks and gratitude for every single person that made Ladies’ Nigh Out a success and thanking the Lord for His blessings showered out that night.

A BIG thank you to the guys who served with willing servant hearts (and dish pan hands J) to L & J for our delicious meal, the decorating committee, musicians, sound people, praise team and everyone who donated desserts. 

A big thank you to everyone who invited a friend or neighbor to join us.  May God be praised!

  • Easter Sunday Family Faith Formation Tip - Got Lego, Playmobile, or other small figures? Use them to reenact Jesus’ resurrection with kids today. Read the Easter story from John 20:1-18 in a child-friendly version of the Bible like the NIrV (available at BibleGateway.com). Then read it again, slowly, as kids act the story out with figures and experience it in a new way.

Prayers and Praises
Remember these as you pray this week:
  • Healing, Encouragement and God’s peace
  • Tina Rozeveld is asking for prayer for her brother, Todd Munn, who was diagnosed with cancer in January and is now on hospice. Please be in prayer for his parents, Jack & Kathleen, and our family as we walk this journey with Todd.
  • Continue to pray for Terry and Sandy Huttenga and their family as Terry’s health struggles have intensified.  Pray for strength, grace and God’s peace and love to surround them.
  • Pray for Hilda Dìaz and her family as she undergoes cancer treatment.
  • Pray for all others who are also undergoing treatment for cancer.
  • All those who have recently had surgeries and other health challenges.
Other Ongoing Prayers: 
  • Pray for the plans that are being made for a summer service project at Faith in Christ Fellowship in Marquette for our VIBE students, Integrate students and adults.
  • Pray for God’s blessing on the fund-raising drive for the building project.
  • Pray for God’s mercy and peace in the lives of our shut-ins and senior saints and all who are limited in their daily activities due to age or illness.
  • Remember all those who are mourning the loss of loved ones recently or during the past months.
  • Pray for Jessica Campbell as she continues to serve in the military and will soon be deployed again.

  • Praise God for the profession of faith and baptism of Alison Ren today in our worship service.
  • PRAISE GOD!  Zach Pluger has returned home to McBain!  He is currently living with his parents and continuing his therapy as an outpatient. Continued prayers for recovery are requested.  Praise and thank God for the many miracles that have occurred in his life!  
  • Congratulations to Jake and Agnes Quist who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this week on Tuesday!  Thank God for His goodness!
 
Family Faith Formation Tip.
  • Good Friday Family Faith Formation Tip - Without experiencing the darkness of Good Friday, we can’t fully appreciate the joy of Easter. Let kids know that it’s appropriate to be sad this week as we remember Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice, but remind them that death does not have the last word in God’s salvation story!.

Ladies’ Night Out – 2019

Gardeners – It’s Spring!
  • A large supply of garden seeds have been donated to the church.  If you are interested – take as many seed packs as you would like for FREE.  The large green tub of seeds is in the foyer for your convenience.  Today is the last day!
Easter Sunday
  • Easter is coming!  We would love to have our sanctuary filled with flowers for the Easter worship service.  If you would be willing to share your Easter/spring flowers, please bring them to church by Saturday, April 20.  Thanks!

Walk Through Holy Week
  • People of all ages are invited to experience the historic events of the week leading up to Easter. Join us at Rehoboth Reformed Church as we enter the Gates of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and participate in hands-on activities through Easter morning. Each interactive stop will help you understand Holy Week a little better and make this Easter season the most meaningful one yet. Maundy Thursday Service
  • Please join Prosper Christian Reformed Church for a Maundy Thursday Communion Service on Thursday, April 18, 7:30pm. This service will include the Lord's Supper and will emphasize the 7 last words of Jesus on the cross. Nursery is provided for children 3 and under. 
Falmouth Easter Egg Hunt

Easter PM Service
  • We will be hosting an Easter evening service at McBain Baptist Church at 6:00pm.  Everyone is welcome to worship with us.
LCCRC Booster Club Steak Dinner and Auction
  • Saturday, April 27, 5:30pm: Come hungry to the annual Lake City CRC Booster Club Dinner and Auction! FREE steak dinner will be provided for all guests who participate! Focus on Life Banquet
  • You are cordially invited to attend our "Focus on Life" benefit dinner on Monday, April 29, 6pm at the Cherry Grove Convention Center, 5676 E M-55, Cadillac. Social hour starts at 5:30 pm.  Our speaker will be Kenny Bigger, a native of Cadillac. Hughston’s Cow Camp S.P.U.R.S. Event
  • S.P.U.R.S. AMEN Chorus Concert
  • The AMEN Chorus will be presenting a concert Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Rehoboth Reformed Church in Lucas.  We have put together a special program to honor our veterans and those currently serving in our military.  We would love to have you join us and if you are a veteran or current military member we invite you to wear your uniform or a hat with your division on it.  A free will offering will be received for various non-profit organizations in our community.
Stride for the Prize – 5K Run/Walk
  • Prosper Booster Club will be holding their annual 5K Run/Walk.  This timed race through Falmouth and it scenic countryside will be Saturday, May 25 at 9:00 am.  You may preregister on line at https://StrideForThePrize5K.itsyourrace.com or print a paper copy.  Preregister before May 7 for $25.00. and receive a Free t-shirt. All other entries are $30.00. SpringHill Day Camp
  • June 24-28, 9am-4pm: Lake City CRC is partnering with SpringHill Camp to host a Summer Day Camp for 1st - 5th gradersSpringHill Day Camp might be the summer’s best week ever! In this high energy, fun, activity packed week, campers will experience adventure and challenge but also be given time to hear, understand, and respond to the gospel message. Prosper CRC Event
  • ATV/UTV (or whatever you like to drive trail ride) is going to be on June 29 starting at Prosper Church at 3pm and ending at the Falmouth Dam with a bonfire (hotdogs and marshmallows provided to roast) at about 6pm.  Registration of $25 includes one T-shirt. Additional shirts available at event. Proceeds are to help fund Prosper's 125th Celebration Activities.
